平沢淑子 Yoshiko Hirasawa （1939-2017） 満州生まれ
県立秋田北高等学校、慶応義塾大学文学部を卒業後、1963年NHKアナウンサーとなる。1973年に偶然パリを訪れたことをきっかけに渡仏、画家に転身する。
1975年リヨンアートセンター・国際現代美術展で大賞、1976年にはカーニュ-シュル-メール近代美術館・第8回国際絵画フェスティヴァルで特別奨励賞を受賞し、1977年にパリで初めての個展を開催。
油彩技術を独学で学ぶことにより、形而上学的絵画、シュルレアリスムの形式を体験的に習得、その後は精神性と哲学性が増した変容する水と光のエネルギーをテーマとした作品を次々と発表した。
