ACT主催「いまだ生を知らず、いずくんぞ死を知らんー人事」
まだ生きることも知らないのに、死についてなどわかるはずもない／孔子『論語』
国や宗教、それぞれを取り巻く環境によって、人の生き死にに対する考え方は多種多様です。
人生百年時代と云われる昨今、性別や生まれ、年齢に関係なく多様な生き方が可能となってきました。
その一方で「終活」や「入棺体験」、「生前葬」など、死はより身近に、よりポジティブなものへと日々変化しています。
いつ訪れるかわからない終わりに向けて、私たちは日々をどう生きていくか。
本展は「死生観を問いかける」展覧会になります。ACT5はACT取扱作家を中心に6名の作家によるグループ展、ACT4は公募グループ展と2部屋をかけて展開いたします。「人事」と「天命」が並び、同時開催となる2つの展覧会にはまさに【人事を尽くして、天命を待つ】作家の思いが込められた作品が並び、鑑賞者へも問いかけることでしょう。
